Could you briefly introduce your company?
BRF, a metal mechanical company established in 2003, is a young enterprise currently in a period of strong development. Initially centred on repair and overhaul work, over the years we have taken on new challenges, boosting our growth in the sector of transfer machinery. 2006 was our breakthrough year: thanks to a larger and more qualified team, important suppliers and the right experience, we started to build our machines in-house. Today, our product offering consists of various types of transfer machines targeting multiple fields of application, including automotive, sanitary and heating systems, electric power, fluid-hydraulics and gas. We are also very active in assistance services and in the production of turnkey solutions tailored to customers’ needs, both in Italy and abroad.
This year you will exhibit at BI-MU for the first time. What do you expect from this experience?
Yes, that’s right. We decided to participate in BI-MU for the first time, because we are sure it can be helpful for our growth path. With its wide audience, Milan is a very attractive location for us: it will allow us to further increase our visibility, improving our market positioning, all to the benefit of our product offerings.
Could you tell us about your exhibition display (stand, exhibited machines, technologies, innovations…)?
The companies of the sector are increasingly moving toward flexible, high-performance machines characterized by short setup time, fast tool change and short processing time. Therefore, at 34.BI-MU, we will demonstrate, through a 3D model, the innovative features of our new multicentre SG FLEX. Characterised by considerable flexibility and high productivity, this machinery is composed of three or more machining centres: it is conceived for major mechanical machining and for performing multiple operations, even simultaneously. Along with this solution, we will also present the other part of our transfer machinery offerings, as well as our innovative systems with robot islands, our proposal of retrofitting solutions and all our services of assistance and maintenance.
“… flexibility of machinery and attention to sustainability are issues that are very much present in customers’ requests and, consequently, also in our product offerings …” |
Is there any other trend that is influencing your production?
Attention to sustainability is undoubtedly a very present issue in customers’ requests and, consequently, also in our product offerings. Indeed, our machines allow savings in terms of processing time, production costs and energy consumption.
What do you think are the most dynamic sectors and areas at the moment?
Lately, we have been working considerably for the gas sector and we have been achieving excellent results from the automotive and electric motor fields. With regard to areas, in addition to Italy, we have been very active even in the rest of Europe, particularly in Germany, but also in the United States and, just since last year, in the Asian market. We are a small company, but with a strong global presence.
How do you see the future prospects for BRF?
We are just at the beginning of our growth and we have all the requirements to keep on achieving excellent results! Of course, the trend of the sector in Italy is still uncertain, but thanks to the numerous orders already confirmed for the whole of next year and our efforts at international level, we remain positive. After all, after a slight decrease in October 2023, today we already see a good recovery, both in Italy and abroad. We are very confident about the benefit that the sector will be able to obtain thanks to the incentives of Transition 5.0.
