Held at fieramilano Rho from 9 to 12 October 2024, 34.BI-MU will host the second edition of RobotHeart. What convinced you to participate again?
RobotHeart was the main reason for our return to BI-MU, in 2022, after some years of absence. Since we operate in the sector of robotic welding, we couldn’t miss the event and I must say that we were very impressed. A large number of visitors, attendance of high-level operators and valuable networking opportunities: the experience has been so positive that, without hesitation, we have already confirmed that we will attend the 2024 edition.
What do you expect from the next edition of this initiative?
First of all, we hope to have the same or even a larger turnout of visitors. This will give us the opportunity to exchange views with customers, colleagues of the sector and experts on the latest innovations in the field of automation. Therefore, we expect an environment rich in relationships and we hope to be able to present our complete product offering again, even within the initiatives proposed by the organisers of the trade show, such as BI-MUpiù arena, a unique occasion to gain visibility “outside our exhibition stand”.
In particular, with regard to your application sectors, what kind of operators do you hope to meet in the exhibition halls?
We at ROBOTECO-ITALARGON are integrators and sole distributors of the Panasonic brand and have been operating in the field of arc welding for over 35. End users, specifically from the general industry and automotive sectors, represent our main target audience, whom we hope to meet in the exhibition halls.

Could you already give us some details about the products you will exhibit?
The trade show of next October will be very important for us! Indeed, 34.BI-MU will be the perfect stage to present our next-generation arc welding robot. Already exhibited in preview by Panasonic some months ago, this new robot is a revolutionary innovation for our company and we are very honoured to show it as a “star” at our stand. Our new solution ensures more precise, efficient and top-quality welding and reduced cycle times thanks to a maximum speed for each axis improved by 20%. In addition, our robot has an innovative, user-friendly control panel, with twice the resolution currently offered.
What are your predictions about the future of robotics in Italy and abroad? In your opinion, how is the transition process towards the innovation of companies going?
The year 2022 was record-breaking for robotics in general and also for our welding sector. We are confident that, despite the general slowdown in the global economy, the growth trend will continue steadily. After all, nowadays, it is necessary for enterprises to implement traditional solutions with robotic applications. Despite a reduction of tax incentives, customers will keep on investing in innovation, driven also by the labour force shortage linked to the ageing population and, speaking for the welding sector, a lack of vocation. This is why automated processes will be increasingly in demand and why we hope that the results of the sector will continue to be positive.
Talking about the future of ROBOTECO-ITALARGON, what are the trends that will most influence your production?
Artificial Intelligence is central to our current investments, both in terms of programming and quality control. This strategy enables us to analyse the data on the welds performed and, consequently, identify the key factors that most influence the quality of machining. In this way, we will continue to offer targeted, precise, fast processes and with an operational efficiency that is capable of increasing the overall productivity of our customers. Artificial Intelligence will also allow us to keep up with the changes and continuous innovations in the world of robotics, an increasingly effervescent sector.
