Could you briefly introduce your company?
Solarelit Spa, now Solarelit powered by Greenvolt, is a company with extensive experience in photovoltaic systems and energy efficiency. Established in 2005 as a division of Microelit Spa, it became independent in 2007 and has specialised in the photovoltaic field and in asbestos abatement since 2010. In 2023, Solarelit became part of the Greenvolt Group, a multinational group and European leader in renewable energy, operating under the brand “Solarelit powered by Greenvolt”. Greenvolt is working in different areas, such as biomass, wind power, solar energy and storage systems, as well as distributed-generation and energy-sharing solutions. Its mission is strongly oriented towards sustainability and innovation. With over 927 employees in about 18 countries, the Greenvolt Group is expanding rapidly thanks to the acquisition and development of established companies in local markets.
Solarelit powered by Greenvolt has several divisions that offer turnkey solutions for photovoltaic systems, long-term power supply through PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) and support in setting up distributed self-consumption configurations. In addition, the company provides energy-efficiency services and building safety measures, including LED lighting, facades, asbestos removal and Disaster Recovery projects.
This year, you will be taking part in BI-MU for the first time. What does the event represent for you and why did you take this decision?
The participation of Solarelit powered by Greenvolt in BI-MU represents an important opportunity to increase visibility, create new contacts and promote our innovative solutions in the photovoltaic and energy-efficiency fields. We want to strengthen our position in the industrial market, explore new business opportunities and contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability of companies. This decision reflects our commitment to expanding and establishing our presence in the sector, in line with our mission to support Italian enterprises in becoming more sustainable and resilient, both economically and from an ESG point of view.
What are your expectations concerning the event?
Our expectations for BI-MU include increasing visibility, creating new business opportunities, strengthening strategic relationships, receiving feedback to improve our solutions and consolidating our position as a leading partner in sustainable energy solutions for enterprises. These companies can benefit from the innovation offered by the new opportunities in our sector.

Could you give us some details about your stand display?
Our stand display at BI-MU will present advanced photovoltaic solutions, energy-efficiency technologies, as well as our offering of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and distributed self-consumption. We will also show how our solutions integrate with the technologies of Industry 4.0 and we will share insights on future co-operations and projects. Our stand presentation will be interactive and informative, with the aim of creating new partnerships and strengthening existing ones. Our company supports enterprises by providing essential services in a context where EU regulations are becoming increasingly stringent in terms of sustainability reporting.
Talking about the future of sustainability (with specific reference to the machine tool sector): what are your predictions and what will be the next trends?
The machine tool sector, a high-quality symbol worldwide, driven by strong innovation, is heading towards a future, when energy efficiency, circular economy, digitalisation and decarbonisation will be at the heart of companies’ strategies. These changes will be driven by innovation, regulations and an increasing demand for green solutions, especially in light of the strict regulations imposed by the European Union with regard to sustainability reporting and ESG indices.
