ISO6020/2 tie rod cylinders are available in a magnetic version. This product allows two or more positions to be detected even at intermediate points of the stroke, by placing magnetic sensors on the external side of the cylinder’s stainless-steel tube. The sensors are fixed to the tie rods and read the passage of the magnetic piston, giving an electrical signal. The sensors are available with REED or PNP contact. These cylinders are manufactured according to Conforti’s well-known quality standards and are supplied, tested one by one, within 10 working days of ordering. To get a reading of the cylinder’s limit switch, Conforti can apply proximity sensors to the hydraulic cylinder heads. The working concept of these sensors is based on a magneto-inductive technology that exclusively detects ferromagnetic metals. This option, which allows the reading of cylinder limit switches, is applicable to the entire range of Conforti cylinders: both ISO 6020/2 cylinders with tie rods or with counter flanges, and ISO 6022 cylinders.
The most sophisticated of the solutions in Conforti’s product range is the cylinder equipped with a linear position transducer. This allows the user to know at any time the position of the piston along its stroke, enabling complete control of the system and precise positioning of the component to be moved.
The proximity sensors and transducers are supplied with an external metal housing that protects them from shocks both during transport and operation.
